    Wonderful Wednesday

Wonderful Wednesday for the After School Crew is opened to all children kindergarten through fifth grade.  We begin after school dismissal and conclude at 5:30 p.m. We begin our afternoon with a snack to fortify us for an action-packed afternoon.  Music, crafts, games and stories keep our focus on God’s love. We will provide transportation from school to church after dismissal.  Call the church office for more information or to request a ride.

    Safe Sanctuary Policy

Mandan United Methodist has a Safe Sanctuary policy guiding all of our ministries to ensure the safety of our children, youth, volunteers and staff.  All adult volunteers and staff submit to background checks and training yearly.  We believe that God has entrusted us with the ministries at Mandan UMC and with that privilege comes the responsibility to create an environment free from abuse.

    Sunday School

Sunday School begins at 9 a.m. each week during the school year.  Classes begin at age three with kindergarten/preschool.

Our elementary classes teach the fundamentals of faith – God’s love for us, His children, shown to us through the sacrifice of His son, Jesus.  Through music, games, crafts, prayer, and lessons, we plant seeds of learning in the youngest members of our church family.

Middle School and High School Sunday School classes offer lessons relevant and scriptural for our tweens and teens.  Navigating school and relationships while living a life that glorifies God is tough for today's youth.  Through study and scripture, our youth are equipped to take on the everyday life at school, at home and everywhere their lives may take them.

We currently offer three adult Sunday School classes, each with different formats.

    • The Adult Bible Study is a book-based scriptural study.
    • The Ambassadors Class uses different video series as their guide for learning.
    • The Messengers Class digs deep into the Bible to explore the messages God has placed there for us to learn and live.

    Fellowship Opportunities

Fellowship among believers creates opportunities to grow together as the Body of Christ.

Our Fellowship Committee works diligently to offer many different types of fellowship events with a focus on family time throughout the year, the congregation is invited to take part in events such as:

    • Christmas Caroling – Join us as we bring Christmas cheer to the long-term care facilities and shut-ins as we share Christmas carols.
    • Valentine Fellowship – We celebrate the gift of love given to all, single and married, with a meal, entertainment and fellowship.
    • The Last Supper Observance – We gather for a meal and a time of remembrance just as Jesus gathered with his disciples on the evening before His crucifixion.
    • Birthday Night – Everyone has a birthday, which gives us an opportunity to celebrate the gift of YOU!  Potluck supper and a birthday cake for each months’ table gives us plenty of mouthwatering food and great fellowship!
    • Trunk-or-Treat – An outreach ministry to our community and a safe place for the children to gather treats as they visit from trunk-to-trunk.

    Church League Sand Volleyball

Mandan UMC sponsors a sand volleyball team to play in the summer church league.  We play at Pioneer Park on Sunday evenings from June through mid-August.  Our goal is fun and all are welcome to join and play.  League rules require youth to be 16 years old or older to participate.  Watch for the sign-up sheet.

Every Tuesday morning at 10 AM, join us for Coffee Time in the Sonrise Conference Room for coffee and goodies and fellowship
